You will have a dual profile. They will both be connected to your email address or stripe account.
Choose what you would like to do first. You can always add the other role later.
What are the fees?
Supporters pay only the amount you pledge; we do not add a surcharge.
Creators receive payments minus Stripe processing fees and a small platform fee.
Exact fees vary by country and payment method, and Stripe shows the fee on each charge.
Creators can see net amounts and fees in their Stripe dashboard.
Example: For a $10 pledge:
You pay: $10.00
Platform fee: $0.50 (5%)
Stripe fee: $0.35 (3.5%)
Recipients receive: $9.15
When do distributions happen?
Payouts are on a monthly payout schedule and handled by Stripe.
If you have less than your payout threshold, the funds will roll over to the next month.
You can configure your payout threshold in your account's settings: as low as $1.00. You may incur higher fees over time if you have a low threshold.
Most creators receive funds in their Stripe account within 2–7 business days after a payment, depending on country, method, and Stripe's risk review.
How do I cancel or pause?
You can cancel or pause any pledge anytime in your account's pledges or billing page.
Open your profile, go to Billing or Pledges, select the pledge, and choose Cancel or Pause.
Changes take effect immediately, and you will not be charged again unless you resume.
If you need help, contact support and we can cancel for you.
Do tiny pledges actually help?
Yes—small amounts add up quickly with many supporters.
Example math:
1,000 people × $1 = $1,000 per month
2,500 × $1 = $2,500 per month
5,000 × $1 = $5,000 per month
Even after typical processing fees, creators keep the majority, making micro-support a reliable base of income.
What shows on my bank statement?
Charges usually appear with "SupportSlice" and the creator name (for example, SUPPORTSLICE*CreatorName).
The exact descriptor can vary by card network, bank, country, and device wallet.
If you don't recognize a charge, check your receipts or contact support and we'll help identify it.
What data do you keep if I delete my account?
We deactivate your account and remove your public profile data.
We retain only what we must keep for fraud prevention, security, accounting, and legal compliance (for example, payment records and tax documents), and then delete per our retention schedule.

You should consult with a qualified tax

your specific situation.
For Supporters (Givers of Support)
Contributions made through SupportSlice are not
tax-deductible charitable donations, unless the recipient is a registered 501(c)(3)
nonprofit organization.
In most cases, your support is treated like a personal
expense or tip. If you are making payments as part of a business activity (e.g.,
sponsorships, promotions, or marketing), you are responsible for determining whether such payments are
deductible for tax purposes.
For Recipients (Receivers of Support)
All funds you receive through SupportSlice are generally
considered taxable income under U.S. law and the laws of other jurisdictions.
You are solely responsible for determining,
collecting, reporting, and paying any and all applicable taxes (including income tax, self-employment
tax, VAT, GST, or other taxes) that arise from your use of SupportSlice.
SupportSlice does not withhold or remit taxes on your behalf.
Nonprofit Organizations
SupportSlice is designed for micro-support
payments. If you wish to make a significant contribution to a nonprofit,
we recommend donating directly to the organization.
If a recipient registers with Stripe as a verified 501(c)(3)
nonprofit, contributions made through SupportSlice may be tax-deductible for
supporters.
In such cases, it is the nonprofit’s responsibility — not
SupportSlice’s — to provide the proper acknowledgment or receipt required for tax purposes.
1099 Forms (U.S. Only)
SupportSlice uses Stripe to process payments.
Stripe is required to issue a Form 1099-K to recipients who meet federal or state
reporting thresholds.
Receipt (or non-receipt) of a 1099-K does not change your
obligation to report and pay taxes on all earnings.
